Q: What are your thoughts on how the girls ran last weekend at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Missouri?

A: “This was a very good meet for us placing high against a lot of the best schools in MO. We had 7 personal best times out of 9 girls. What more could we have asked for? Everyone gave their best efforts.

Q: The season is about halfway through, so how do you feel about the progress of the team and where they are headed?

A: The team is doing exactly what we ask them to do, work hard in practice and try to get better as the season goes along. They are looking great at this time. Lots of things can happen in the last half. We just hope they are all good things.

Q: Does this weekend’s meet feature most of the KC metro schools?

A: There are a lot of good teams coming to this meet. 48 teams total. There will be lots of very good competition from both sides of the state line. We hope to continue to be competitive against these good teams.

Q: Last question, are there improvements you want to see moving forward to the last month of the season? If so, what do you want to keep working on?

A: The good news is that our girls have not peaked at all.  We do not know what our limits are, so we will encourage them to continue working hard during the week and putting forth our best efforts in the meets.
